Industrial wastewater

Treat wastewater and gain energy

A container reactor breaks down the organic load of your wastewater and generates biogas that your business can use for heat or power. GRegio Energie AG is your point of contact and sole contracting partner for the whole project.

How the plant works

At the centre is a containerised high-rate anaerobic reactor. Microorganisms break down the organic load of the wastewater in the absence of oxygen. This produces methane-rich biogas that you can use directly in your business for heat or power. The organic load of the wastewater (measured as COD, chemical oxygen demand) falls significantly. This eases the burden on the downstream wastewater treatment plant.

For water-intensive businesses

The plant suits businesses with organically loaded wastewater, for example in food, beverage and dairy processing. It is built on the plug-and-play principle and can be expanded in modules as the volume of wastewater grows. Further modules, for example for nitrogen treatment, are possible. As an added benefit, the plant can reduce the charges paid to public wastewater treatment.

From the profile to the plant

  1. Wastewater profile. You give us the key data of your wastewater: volume, load, discharge.
  2. Preliminary trial. Before we build, we carry out a preliminary trial at the manufacturer’s facility.
  3. Planning and permitting. We plan the plant with you and support the permitting process.
  4. Construction and commissioning.
  5. Operation and service.

One point of contact for the whole project

The plants come from a manufacturer in Germany. We import them, plan the project with you and are your sole contracting partner. Your contract is based on our quotation, not on the manufacturer’s documents.

How high is the organic load of your wastewater?

Send us the key data. We will tell you whether a preliminary trial is worthwhile. We state prices and funding rates only after the preliminary trial.
