Wood gasification
Power and heat from wood chips
A wood gasification module delivers 50 kWe and around 120 kWth and runs on wood chips. We distribute the modules exclusively in Switzerland, plan the plant with you and install it.

From wood chips to power
A gasifier produces wood gas from wood chips. The gas is cooled and cleaned and drives a gas engine. A generator produces electricity from it, and the waste heat can be used as heat. The fuel is wood chips with a moisture content below 18%; below 15% is recommended.

Key data per module
- Electrical output: 50 kWe
- Thermal output: around 120 kWth
- Fuel: wood chips with a moisture content below 18%
- Design: compact, cascadable, several modules can be connected together
- Manufacturer: a company in Finland; exclusive distribution in Switzerland by GRegio Energie AG

What 47 kg of wood chips can do
With around 47 kg of wood chips, one module runs for an hour and generates around 50 kWh of electricity plus heat. 50 kWh of electricity is enough to drive an electric car 333 km, from Brunnen to Chiasso and back.
Plants in operation and under construction
Lindauer AG, Steinen SZ
1 module of 50 kWe, operated with the joinery’s residual wood during the six winter months. Complemented by a façade photovoltaic system and a 125 kWh storage unit. In operation since 2025.
VZ Kanalreinigung AG, Wangen SZ
2 modules with a combined output of 100 kWe, including drying.
Rheinmühle, Chur
3 modules of 50 kWe each, currently being converted.
